Taking place near the end of the One Year war, a squad of Zeon commandos is given the mission to sneak aboard a federation colony and discover and destroy a new federation weapon. During this mission, one of the zeon soldiers befriends a local boy who sees the mission as nothing but fun and adventure. As the series progresses Al learns the truth behind war as he sees those he calls friends and those around him all affected by this.
