Episode 36 - The next war is the war we wanted
The Frosts' take off in their Gundams accompanied by a unit of new model Daughtresses. Olba asks if they can finally kill Garrod. Shagia doesn’t see why not as they’ve already done a favor for Bloodman. Jamil and Sarah are lead to the bridge of Carris’s plane. They already have Garrod pinpointed. Sarah asks how they found them. Jamil says it had to be Tifa’s ability. Paula and Garrod express hope of getting to Jamil without being attacked. Tifa senses something and says the enemy is coming. Beams fly by the G Falcon and Virsago enters riding Ashtaron. Garrod sees that they have no choice but to fight and separates from the G Falcon. Garrod attacks the Frosts while Paula handles the Daughtresses. Tifa asks Garrod to hold on a little longer. Jamil, Wits, Roybea and Carris launch to assist Garrod. The Double X gets caught between the Frosts and they smack the Double X back and forth like volleyball. Paula gets hit, preventing her from helping Garrod when he gets grabbed by Ashtaron’s claws. Shagia draws his beam saber and thrusts forward to run the Double X in.
Tifa smiles and says ‘we made it’ when a beam from Jamil stops Shagia. Olba takes a shot to the back knocking him off Garrod. The Daughtresses are hardly a warm-up for the Gundam team so the Frosts retreat. Garrod pursues and enters a deadlock with Olba. Olba tells Garrod ‘the next war is the war we wanted’ and then breaks free and flies away. Everyone is happy to see Garrod and Tifa’s return. He introduces Paula, the girl who saved his life. Garrod and Tifa brief the rest of the crew on Carris’s plane. Doctor Techs says what he doesn’t understand is the meaning of “Dome”. Garrod says that if Jamil and the Doctor don’t know, there is little way to find out. Then he says that Lancelow might know. Jamil asks if Lancelow is still alive. Jamil says he fought Lancelow many times and once he saw the future.
In the plane’s hangar, Carris, Garrod and Tifa talk about Jamil. Carris says Jamil is disturbed by the difference between the future he saw and the current reality. Garrod points out that everyone desires to be a newtype but nobody knows what it is. What the New Federation and the Colonies say is completely different. Tifa says she never accepted herself as a newtype because she believed her ability would only bring disaster. Tifa then admits that she doesn’t fear her ability when Garrod is around. Carris says that they’ve experienced a lot and those experiences want answers. He says finding answers might just be the duty for the after war people. The moment is shattered by Sam screaming and running to hide behind Garrod. Paula comes in running after him and says he made an adjustment to the G Falcon without her permission. He says he only adjusted the stabilizer a little. His negotiation does nothing as she chases him around Garrod.
The Frosts head to Bloodman’s room and say they will take full responsibility for the Double X’s escape. Bloodman doesn’t seem to care and ask if they believe he has the capabilities to be the new ruler they mentioned. The Frosts admit that they killed Izmat as well as many of their comrades for the sole purpose of being able to support Bloodman. Bloodman says he is not satisfied to sign a peace treaty with the Colonies. To him, the Colonies should belong to the Earth. The Frosts ask what he thinks about newtypes. He says he does not acknowledge them because everyone, including him, will be labeled as oldtype. The Frosts say they agree completely and ask him to correct the future with his power.
On Carris’s ship, Sam shows Paula that the G Falcon can combine with any of the Gundams. The most effective combination will allow the Leopard to fly. They land at New Orleans base, a former Old Federation base. Doctor Techs sees a mass driver and asks about it. Carris tells him that they have a ship underground. Carris brings them to a bunker and asks them to rest there. Jamil says he needs to consider what to do. Carris agrees with Jamil and says he doesn’t want to stay long either. Some people there are only in to fight the New Federation.
In space, Lancelow has been ordered to conduct military drills. Lancelow wonders to himself whether or not there will be an ‘after’ to this war. In Zidel’s mansion, Nichola approaches him and begs him to reconsider going to war. Zidel insists it is the only way to protect their newtypeism. Nichola says that if he thinks at all about the colonies’ future, he won’t start a war. Zidel snaps his fingers and in rush armed guards. They quickly apprehend Nichola and Zidel inform Nichola that he will be under arrest for charges of sedition. He is thrown into an armored car where he believes that so long as the New Federation offers peace, there is still hope.
Bloodman adjourns a meeting with his officers as they believe they’ve reached an impasse in their decision. The Frosts see that Bloodman can’t control the assembly. Shagia says that Bloodman still has the power so they should cooperate with him. Olba asks if he means remove the obstacles. Shagia says ‘precisely’. The officers leave in a plane guarded by Valiants. On the plane there is talk of impeaching him. Ahead of them is the Virsago riding the Ashtaron, preparing to fire its chest cannon. The pilots wonder what is ahead of them but they’re engulfed in Shagia’s beam before they know what is going on. They report back to Bloodman that a Space Rebellion’s spy set a bomb off. Bloodman asks if they were the ones who did it but they maintain that this was the Space Rebellion’s work. Bloodman than says that they must fight the evil newtypeists.
Back at New Orleans base, Roybea is testing the Leopard with the flight pack equipped. Paula complement’s Sam’s mechanical skills and says she kind of likes him. He says he doesn’t enjoy being liked by such a tomboy. She grabs him around the neck and drags him off while the other mechanics follow him. Garrod says to Tifa that Sam and Paula are becoming good friends. Carris comes running up and tells them that the New Federation is moving. Garrod remembers what Olba said to him about them wanting another war. Now in After War 0015, the hell that everyone tried to prevent is about to happen again.
Paul Jr’s Thoughts:
Now it appears everyone has suited up for the big final battle ahead of us. We still don’t know what Dome is or why it upset Bloodman so badly but now that everyone’s heading to space, we should learn the truth about our Dome on the moon.
