Episode 8 - I won't Forgive Him!
When we last watched Gundam X, Airmaster was in the process of becoming roast duck as Leopard was speeding toward the Freeden. Something was happening on a bed between Garrod and Ennil too! As Wits is staring at his trial by fire, a mysterious plane shows up. It fires upon the Daughtress', allowing Airmaster to break free. The Daughtress’ return fire but are no match for the swift plane. As Airmaster takes to the skies, the Daughtress’ are ordered to pursue. As thrilled as they must be, none of the suits are able to move. Airmaster forms into bird mode and shakes its tail rudder for his rescuer. The pilots on the ship are revealed as none other than Shagia and Olba Frost! Shagia says “We didn’t save you” as the brothers give that sickening smile they’ve become famous for.
Back in Garrod’s hotel room, Ennil is staring down the barrel of Garrod’s gun. Garrod is accusing her of trying to dine and dash on the Gundam. She puts her hand on top of Garrod’s and seems like she will offer him a place on her ship. Garrod jerks his hand and fires a warning shot that whizzes past her head. He tells her to leave to which she complies. Ennil gets back to her ship where she is offered wine by her comrade. She slaps his lips clear off his face and goes to her quarters. Ennil hammers her fist on the wall and says “I won’t forgive him.”
During the void between camera time, Wits met up with Roybea and decides to head to the Freeden as well. Once they arrive, the Freeden agrees to hold onto Wits’s precious cargo for him without questioning what it is. Tonya leans on it and accidentally flips the switch that opens it. While staring in awe at the massive amount of gold, Wits tries to explain it’s for his brothers. Sara heads up to the infirmary where the doctor happily informs her that Jamil is improving. Tifa pokes her head in, only to receive a death glare from Sara. Tifa backs out and the doctor tells Sara she looks serious. He then walks out to the hall where Tifa is and tells her she should try to understand people’s emotions. Wits enters a room where he is probably staying when Tonya comes in to hand him the photo he dropped. She asks if they’re his brothers and says the youngest is probably closest to him. Wits says the youngest no longer exists and then leaves.
Tifa sits at her canvas, pen in hand and thinks about Garrod. Garrod on the other hand runs down an alleyway and says he knew he was being followed. As he peeks from around the corner, his stalker is none other than the man who missed out on buying the GX! The repair shop where GX and Leopard were repaired gets a visit from two more Gundam pilots. Shagia and Olba Frost see the owner’s pictures with the Gundams and ask about where they went. Back on the Freeden’s bridge, Roybea is talking to Sara again. He tells him she is even cuter. She says she hates jokes. He says she looks like his mother who passed away, than says they should have dinner. She tells him to stop but he says he wasn’t joking. Suddenly, Tifa runs in and hugs Sara by the waist and tells her to move.
Fire engulfs the forest where the Freeden is moored. Sara puts the visual on the monitor and oh no! The Freeden is surrounded by Fire Wallaby Daughtress’! Roybea sets out in the Leopard to defend the Freeden. Garrod in the meantime has run down another dark alley to escape his stalker. He draws a pistol and moves to confront the man. No later does the man knock the gun out of Garrod’s hand. He tells Garrod he wants the Gundam and Garrod tells him no. They jump as though they’re going to do a slow motion anime punch but at the last second, Garrod rolls under him and dives for the gun. The man steps on Garrod’s lower back, pinning him to the ground. He punches Garrod and tells him he’s too young for the Gundam. He demands the location of the GX but Garrod says he forgot when he got hit. He punches Garrod again and Garrod responds “What are you talking about?” The man, now righteously pissed, draws a knife and says “Have it your way!” The sound of a cocked gun stops the man as he drops the knife, backs up and runs.
Garrod’s saviors are none other than Shagia and Olba Frost! Olba introduces Shagia as his brother as Garrod goes for his gun. Shagia shoots the gun out of Garrod’s reach and requests a long talk over tea. Back where the Freeden is, Leopard valiantly knocks out the Daughtress’. To the Freeden’s dismay however, from over the hills comes flamethrower-equipped Fire Wallaby Daughtress’ lead by Ennil El in the Wise Wallaby. This second wave quickly turns their flamethrowers on Leopard, hitting him from all directions. As the Leopard is caged in flames, Shagia, Olba and Garrod sit down for tea. Garrod tells them that he will not pilot the GX and he will not return to the Freeden. They explain that they’re artists and wish to kill all the Gundam pilots themselves. The brothers say they’ve never lost a match until they met the GX. To correct that error, they want a rematch with Garrod in the Gundam X. Garrod refuses and suddenly, an information broker comes in and announces there is a Gundam type fighting in the nearby forest. Shagia and Olba stand to leave but before so, tell Garrod they will threaten the Freeden. They bid adieu and take off in the Virsago and Ashtaron.
The Leopard is damaged and it looks like he won’t make it when Airmaster rides to the rescue. He takes out enough Daughtress’ for Leopard to move but the fires have spread so badly that the Freeden cannot escape. As the Wise Wallaby stares down at her opponents, Tifa is again focused at her canvas and Garrod Ran starts the GX again.
Paul Jr’s Thoughts:
Another action packed episode! Garrod has found reason to return to Tifa and the Freeden. Roy and Wits are back with Jamil and company. As the Frost brothers near an already battle weary Freeden, Garrod is on their tails. I guess Garrod keeps his Gundam and his show. Now that 5 Gundams and an Ace Vulture pilot are congregating, what will come of the battle?
