Episode 6 - Dianna's Arrival
At Castle Bostonia, a group is set up with multiple cameras, taking pictures during the night. The Person in charge says that Loran's Mobile suit is moving, and that he will be in the information room. Crossing a bridge, Grey sees multiple sumo suits fly past them. Another man in the cabin explains that they are the SUMO units of the Royal guard, and compliments Grey, saying that he, too, has very good Mobile Suits. Grey says that they are only experimentation models. Queen Dianna says that the WhiteDoll is a very good mobile suit, and Grey responds by saying that 'Lora's' mobile suit is very special. As Loran walks his mobile suit along the ground, he notices that the Militia is moving in a bunch of trucks, each with store names on the side of them, disguising them. Loran wonders how they will camouflage the Kapools, so he stops at a train station and forces the train to stop, where we can now see the Kapools are tied onto the train, covered in brush. Loran sees Soshie and her friend, and they both say that he must follow the plan, and then the train departs again.
Harry walks through the city with his Gold SUMO unit, encountering a road block. Citizens gather in the road, yelling at him, yelling their displeasure at his arrival within the city. Inside the Car, Grey says that he is confident that the Good citizens will follow him, but there are always the bad ones. Dianna does not seem surprised by this, saying that it is the same way on the moon, and that there is no difference anywhere. The car stops short, and the driver says that the militia blocks the road. He orders the driver to head to castle Bostonia. Grey tells them that the car is shiny and attracts attention, so they are better off walking by taking this road. Queen Dianna seems interested by this, saying that a Walk would be interesting. The man sitting next to her disagrees, but seems to follow what his Queen says, telling Grey to lead the way.
The Militia fires their guns on the SUMO suits in the city, but with no effect, they merely kick over the trucks and move on without a scratch. Kneeling in a dark corridor, Grey says that they should go to the castle now, but Dianna's man says that if they were to go now, they would put Dianna in more danger than she is already in. Grey objects, saying that Castle Bostonia is ready to be passed on to them, and that they heard that from the officials of the Royal Guard. As they banter, a missile hits a nearby building and rocks and dust fall all around them. Grey yells at the man, saying that they will die for nothing here. The Queen calls the man Administrator Miran, and tells him that Grey is right, and that they should go now. Grey offers her his hand to help her get up; she thanks him, taking it.
Harry continues to be fired upon by the Militia men, and they say over the intercom that Dianna is not yet at the Castle, but the WhiteDoll is coming. Harry says that he will deal with it. As Loran lifts up WhiteDoll's hands as if attempting to enter a boxing match, Harry pulls out a melee weapon. Loran struggles with the situation. He acknowledges that SUMO's are more powerful than flats. Suddenly there is a yell, and Grey Ralf is on the ground between the two, yelling for them to stop. He turns to Harry and tells him to stop as well, calling him the chief of the Royal Guard. Administrator Miran runs out and yells that Dianna is here, and that Harry should not attack. Grey yells up to Loran, telling him not to fight within city limits. Miran tells Harry that the Guard cannot be seen as war like soldiers. As he says this, Dianna gets up and out from behind what looks like a food stand on the side of the street. Overly excited by this, Loran loses control of his Mobile suit, causing it to lean forward and hit
Harry's Gold SUMO, which falls over. Dianna laughs, saying that she did not think that there were mobile suits of the same level (height) on earth. Loran carries Grey in the hand of his Mobile Suit, as Harry walks next to him, carrying Dianna. In his Cockpit, Loran is using the users’ manual for the WhiteDoll. He leans back and pulls down a monitor over his head, revealing that there is no information on the royal guard. Ecstatic, Loran zooms in on Dianna and records a small video of her sitting on the SUMO's hand. On a large grass field a long line of soldier’s marches away. Soshie looks as if she wants to order them back, asking why they are retreating. A militia man says he doesn't know, but there are orders from above telling them to leave Norse City, at least 20 kilometres away. Loran approaches in the WhiteDoll.
Grey approaches Dianna, saying that the Militia has been evacuated from the city, as she requested. Administrator Miran says that it was necessary, and then asks if Grey wishes to Negotiate. Grey shrugs, saying that what happened previously were the actions of a small group. Admiral Miran asks if Grey can at least hand over the man responsible for all the chaos last night. An Army man behind Grey steps forward, saying that they are investigating. Miran begins to object, but Dianna intervenes, saying that it is enough, and that she was covered in dust last night. Miran agrees, saying that she needs rest. Grey agrees, saying that he already has a room prepared for her. As Dianna walks down the hallway, she is greeted by Kihel. This is almost definitely planned, and we now see, as Kihel leads Dianna and Miran down the hallway, exactly how alike Kihel and Dianna look - almost exactly the same. From the Hair, to the height, to the eyes, they may have been identical twins.
Back at the Militia regrouping spot, Loran leaves Meishi and Soshie, and Soshie comments that she thinks that Loran is stupid. Meishi disagrees, saying that he is very skilled. Soshie says that it would be much more of a help to search for weapons to fight with. A train approaches, and they yell that backup is coming. Shido is literally pushed off the Train, and he yells for Lora and Soshie. Soshie and Meishi come running, calling him Uncle Shido. He reveals that he wants them to help the digging work in the Caves. Meishi objects, saying that the Kapools cannot leave here, but a uniformed soldier says that the fighting has stopped, and it will be beneficial for them to get more Mobile Suits. Shido seems to agree, telling them both to Load up their Mobile suits and head back.
Inside a building, we hear Loran running in, yelling out Keith's name. Keith is standing in front of a stove, looking glum. Loran asks him if he knows how Fran is doing. Keith doesn't answer, but just walks away, out of the picture. Loran doesn't know what to say, so he says Hi. Keith picks up a roll and hands it to Loran, telling him to eat. As Loran looks stunned, Keith repeats this. Loran takes a large bite, his eyes going wide and glowing, saying that it is still warm and tasty. Keith says that he cooked it on his own, because the Boss Broke his Shoulder bone and is in the Hospital. He visited him, and he told Keith to take care of the Bakery. He reveals that with his limited skill, he cannot maintain the bakery, feed his bosses' wife, daughter, and pay for his boss's stay. As he stokes the fire in the oven, Loran says that it will be okay, because Dianna has arrived. He says that Moonrace Keith can bake earth bread - it will all be alright. Keith seems to agree, nodding, with a smile on his face.
Loran rides back on a scooter, and comes to a checkpoint. They ask where he is going, and he says that he is going to the park near castle Bostonia. When they ask why, he says that he is bringing lunch to some friends, and reveals fresh bread and supplies in the back of his scooter. The man says that this bike is a militia bike. Loran responds by saying that he stole it because his was damaged by the Militia. The man tells him to give him bread. Loran says that that is no problem, handing him a fresh roll. Loran passes without incident. Loran runs down the steps in front of the castle, sitting next to Fran. He asks if she wishes to report the meeting between the earth and moon. She doesn't directly answer him, but it seems to be a yes either way. Loran asks if she will write a positive report. Fran says that he has no genius when it comes to writing. Loran agrees, saying he is not smart at all, and says that he does not need to be - Dianna will solve all the problems. Fran looks grim, saying that she hears that Dianna has come with the purpose of commanding the army.
In the negotiations room, Dianna says that since she believes that no one would understand a 3D image, she prepared a 2D map. Miran spreads a map of North and Central America across the table, with the United States made Green. Canada and Central America are brown. Miran says that he believes that the Green part is not fit for living in. But, as he says, The Sunbelt Zone of North America has a very good climate and field, but isn't very populated. He asks why. When Grey attempts to explain to him that strong sunshine is harmful to the Body, Miran says that it is not, but rather because the citizens of North America are have a potential memory relationship, in which their memory tells them that it is not their land. Duke Ellina, standing near Grey, says that History cannot be distorted, and that they cannot tolerate them coming back to earth and stealing their land. Grey scolds him, but Ellina continues, saying that it is not their fault that the moonrace ran away, while his ancestors stayed to remain on earth.
As Loran rides through the country-side, he spots a WalDom and a few Cutes, mentioning to him that they investigate even this area. Inside the WalDom, the female pilot encountered earlier, now revealed as Puo, and another pilot, begin to talk. The other pilot tells her that even though the militia left the city limits, they are only right here. Puo says that it was on Dianna's orders, but the other pilot says that Dianna is not a soldier, and therefore does not understand. Not far away, everyone is gathered for what the pilot's called a banquet, but could more accurately be described as a feast. Loran Raises WhiteDoll near the party, saying that it is too dangerous to let them (one can only guess it means Soshie and Meishi) drive the Kapools back. A man on the ground says that the digging work in Shigail Mountain (where the mines are) has the first priority. Loran mentions that they are too irresponsible, and that Cute's are too close, and heads off.
Nearby, two Cute's stand, their cockpits open, and their pilots eating. One pilot mentions that WhiteDoll is moving, but the other says that their mission is to monitor the troops gathered at the feast.
At the mines, the Kapools are being used to move large boxes and load them onto the train. A warning is issued that a mobile suit is approaching. Shido says that that is no good - he doesn't want to enemy to find the secrets here. Soshie and Meishi decide to start their mobile suits, and Meishi asks if the Kapool has missile capabilities. Shido says that they have never tried, so it's best not to attempt it. As Soshie and Meishi go to head off the approaching WalDom, they are fired upon by Puo and the other pilot, although they are not hit, it comes very close, knocking them over. Loran is only a short distance away, searching his Manual in vain for some sort of weapon. He reasons that there is no way they developed a mobile suit this powerful without weapons. Suddenly, the screens around him turn red with a flashing upside down A, and in front of him appears a map, which seems to be issian Town. He Notes that you will only fail if you fight without preparation, the map suddenly Zooms in, and reveals a hidden, underground chamber. Loran heads WhiteDoll towards the center of Issan Town, where there is a stone structure, surrounded by large stone rocks nearly as large as WhiteDoll itself. Suddenly, the ground begins to shake and the stones turn yellow, and WhiteDoll is lowered by a platform in the center underground. After coming to a screeching halt, Loran looks around him to find a vast array of weapons. As he attempts to pick up a rather large gun, it shatters as if it was made of fragile rock. Loran finds the only things available are large spiked balls attached to chains. Reluctantly, he grabs them.
Soshi and Meishi are still under attack, and not fairing well. They realize that they cannot get rid of the WalDom without Missiles. Loran approaches fast, dragging the ball behind him on the ground. He inputs "I Field", and continues to approach at high speed. Stopping nearby, the WalDom fires a few missiles at Loran, but he spins the ball and chain around in front of him, causing an explosion. They believe that they have destroyed WhiteDoll, until they realize it is above them. Hurling the spiked ball towards the WalDom, the WalDom catches it, only to realize that the ball emits jets, and the ball begins to spin, eating away at the WalDom. The ball causes Damage to the WalDom, and the WalDom retreats. As the Chain disintegrates, Loran lets out a sigh of relief, wondering what actually just happened. As Soshie and Meishi discuss what just happened, Loran sits inside the Cockpit of WhiteDoll, his head in his hands. He prays to Queen Dianna not to start war in such a beautiful place as earth.
Final thoughts: This episode was packed with action of all sorts - we saw that Loran is not the greatest of pilots, and that even when he uses a weapon, he doesn't really know what he's doing, which makes me wonder if WhiteDoll is actually doing the majority of the work for him. And While Loran seems to be very very loyal to Grey Ralf; he also seems to Hold Queen Dianna in the highest regard, even praying to her to stop the battles. Let's hope we see alot more of this awesome action in future episodes.
