Episode 5 - Father and Son
Basque, Jamican
and some Titan's pilots are watching a video of the previous battle. Basque
says they can't win with pilots from the Earth because that red mobile
suit overpowers all around it. Jamican says they only have a few mobile
suits left and it wouldn't be wise to get reinforcements and start again
either. Basque says to continue pursuit with the Alexandria, Bosnia and
Sachiwanu, and he'll return to Grypps on board Brunei. Basque tells Jamican
to find the AEUG headquarters and Jamican suggests attacking Granada,
Basque tells them they need to find the AEUG members hiding in the Earth
Federation and to hold nothing back. On the Ahgama Quattro says the enemies
are off balance losing the Gundam Mark IIs and the hostages. Reccoa says
Astonage is redoing the color scheme because they can't go around in Titan's
colors. In the hangar Franlink is giving out orders while the AEUG mechanics
take apart the Gundam Mark IIs and paint them. Franklin goes over to a
mechanic because he is using a laser torch the wrong way. Franklin grabs
the torch and then Astonage comes by, Franklin points the chest at Astonage's
stomach and tells him at this range it will kill him. Franklin says he
just wants to see a Rick Dias. Astonage and Franklin leaves for the Rick
Dias, Astonage says he probably just doesn't want to see it. Franklin
says he is taking the Rick Dias back with him, he says Basque owes him
for keeping his hostage and if he takes back a Rick Dias he can do whatever
he wants in the Titan's Tech Department. Franklin gets to Quattro's Rick
Dias and pushes away Astonage. Franklin starts up Quattro's Rick Dias
then takes off. Brex gets word of Franklin's treachery and tells them
not to shoot him, Quattro runs off. In the elevator Quattro calls Brex
with the phone and says to have Roberto and Appoli chase him and he'll
go too. Roberto and Appoli launch in their Rick Dias and Quattro gets
into the hangar. Quattro notices Camille is trying to launch in a Gundam
Mark II but is stopped by Reccoa, Camille apologizes for what his father
did and says he has to go too. Quattro asks if he can shoot his own father.
Quattro gets in the Gundam Mark II and launches. Quattro meets up with
Roberto and Appoli he tells them the Gundam Mark II has terrific acceleration,
Appoli says he prefers the Rick Dias. On the bridge Brex asks Henken if
he knows of the Red Comet. Henken says he was in the back on a Salamis
during the battle of A Baoa Qu, but he didn't see the Zeong, yet he felt
the power of the Red Comet and senses it right now from Quattro. Brex
says he's trying to deliver the message of Zeon Daikum to the spacenoid.
In the halls of the Ahgama Camille escapes from Reccoa and says he can't
forgive his father for see his mistress on Green Noah and, he can't let
Quattro waste time on someone like that. On the bridge of the Alexandria
they notice incoming people Jamican orders them to launch the Hi-zack
squad. Jerid gets a Hi-zack because he said Jamican gave him a chance
to restore his honor. Three Hi-zacks launch from the Alexandria. As Basque
begins to transfer over to the Brunei. Franklin approaches the position
of the Alexandria but can't find it suddenly he is fired on. Franklin
gets distracted by Roberto and Appoli, suddenly Quattro grabs onto the
back of the Rick Dias and holds on. Quattro suddenly notices incoming
Hi-zack fire, Franklin tries to squirm free but one of the Hi-zack shots
blasts off the Mark II's leg and Franklin gets free. Franklin says he
has luck on his side as he imagines Margarita. Jerid notices that the
enemy is divide amongst themselves and wonders why. Ahgama fires the mega particle cannon at the Titans fleet but misses, Jamican decides not to
return fire because they can't give away their position. Camille gets
into one of Gundam Mark II's with no left arm. The Ahgama continues to
fire at the Titan's fleet, Jamican decides they have no choice but to
return fire. Reccoa tells Astonage to open the hatch because Camille can
do it since he is a strong boy. Camille gets ready to launch in the Mark
II, Brex thinks it's a good chance to test him out. Camille then launches
into battle. Basque safely makes it on board the Brunei. Camille finds
his dad and grabs onto his Rick Dias. Franklin knocks him free and Camille
points the beam rifle at him. Franklin asks his if he is going to shoot
his own parent, he says he doesn't remember raising Camille to do that.
Franklin then starts to fire at Camille, but Camille dodges. Camille's
Mark II is grazed and Camille charges in. Franklin says screw the Gundam
Mark II, he is already thinking of his next design, he won't let the Mark
II win. Suddenly out of no where a shot hits the Rick Dias in the side,
Franklin leaves the cockpit of the Rick Dias but the Rick Dias explodes
and Franklin is killed. The Titan's fire signal flares signaling retreat
and they Hi-zacks leave the battlefield. Camille starts firing at the
Titan's say if they hadn't been born it wouldn't have turned out this
way. Quattro stops him and says it's no use. Basque says he'll leave the
chase to Jamican and he doesn't think the AEUG's secret base is on Granada,
because that would imply that half the Federation Space Force is AEUG.
On the bridge of the Ahgama Torres is reporting that they are being chased
by three ships, Henken says to change course from Luna 2 to the Earth.
Reccoa tells Camille it wasn't anyone’s fault it was a battlefield,
Camille is still distraught after tying to shoot his father. Quattro says
even if Camille hadn’t someone else would sooner or later. Emma comes
in wearing new AEUG clothes she says she's being treated as a recruit
and still being guarded. Emma asks Quattro is he thinks she's a spy. Quattro
says yes because her parents live on Earth meaning they are hostages and
she might return to the Titans to save them. Quattro says the Titan's
used Camille's parents as shields and they are that kind of enemy, Emma
replies that's why she's there. Emma says her parents are noble people
and they will forgive and understand her. Camille says he envies Emma's
parents who act like responsible adults, Camille says his parents aren't
parents. Camille says his dad has been going with his lover for a long
time and his mom knew but buried herself in work. Quattro tells Camille
not to talk about his dead parents because they have to make a better
world for the next generation, Camille says no one has to right to tell
him that because both of his parents were killed in front of his eyes.
Quattro asks Camille if he knows the name Char Aznable, Camille says he
respects him as he was the one who tried to bring down the Zabi family
carrying the hardships of his parents on his shoulders, but he was a fool
that fought by himself and lost. Quattro says Camille's situation was
like his, he felt that venting his own personal feeling were the most
important thing in creating a new era. Camille says he won't listen and
the AEUG and Titans mean nothing to him, his parents were fools that got
caught in the middle and died. Camille runs off and Reccoa tells Quattro
it wasn't smart to bring something like that up to persuade him. Quattro
agrees and said an ordinary man has a habit of saying "there's this
guy I know...". In his room Camille is crying.
