Welcome to Gundam Plus II, the successor to the original Gundam Plus site.

Master Grade Sazabi

Review by Nimrod

When I saw word that the Acguy was being given the Master Grade treatment I would be lying if I said I saw this coming. Of all the units form Gundam to given a MG release, the Acguy would be the last on that list.

The Assembly

Like all other MG kits, this one comes with lots of pieces and (4) screws. This kit also comes with a display base that one can assemble as well as some clear plastic parts for the effect of the Acguy firing it’s torpedoes(4 “wash trails”) and parts that attach to it’s feet to give the appearance of it moving(2 trailed, one for each foot). I honestly didn’t find any difficult or tricky when putting this together. The instructions were very clear and easy to understand and follow. Even the arm with the spring loaded claw wasn’t as much of a pain as one would expect. The four screws are used in this arm to hold it together and for a change (at least in my case) they went in easily with no problems.

Total Assembly time – 3 hours

Posing

This is where the fun comes in for this kit. Not only is the Acguy quite possible on it’s own, including the famous “sitting pose”, but with the stand one can do more and make the Acguy look as though it’s flying through the water. Despite the size of its body and head, the legs can easily support the model. Add to this the trails for the torpedoes and the feet and one can really do a lot with this model.

Final Thoughts

I wasn’t really excited about this kit when it was first announced and released. As time went on and I saw some reviews on other sites it started to grow on me. Now that I’ve built it I have to say that a pretty sweet kit. Ignore the Acguy jokes that people make about this unit and buy the kit.

Highly Recommended
